Weave House
Through a carefully considered approach, Weave House emerges connected and open to its context through an internal approach, enriching the experience and allowing for a unique personalisation.
Weave House
Working within the existing footprint, the project demonstrates how considered interior design can completely reshape the experience of a home without requiring significant structural change. Rather than looking outward for expansion, the focus was placed on unlocking the potential within, improving flow, increasing natural light and creating a stronger connection between spaces.
Previously dark and inward-looking, the home has been reimagined through a layered palette of natural materials, soft tones and tactile finishes. Light now moves more freely throughout the interiors, while a cohesive material language brings a sense of ease and continuity from room to room. The result is a home that feels open, welcoming and quietly refined.
Inspired by Sydney's harbour lifestyle, the interiors draw on a contemporary interpretation of coastal warmth. Soft whites form a calm foundation, complemented by gentle notes of terracotta, blush and muted earthy tones that add depth and character. Rich textures, carefully selected furnishings, artwork and lighting create moments of interest while maintaining an overall sense of balance and restraint.
One of the home's most significant interventions was the transformation of a former playroom into a bespoke wine room and entertaining space. Framed by steel and glass doors and elevated through the use of natural stone, it offers a sophisticated retreat while remaining connected to the surrounding living areas.
Throughout the home, every detail has been carefully considered to enhance how the spaces feel and function. The result is a layered, light-filled residence that honours its harbour setting while reflecting the individuality of the people who call it home.
